Wisconsin Lake Communities Sell Homes Quickly

Wisconsin Realtors in Lake Geneva, Legend Lake and Rice Lake say their areas are fast-growing. Lake Geneva "If you like lots of specialty shops, large executive homes, condominium complexes, surrounded by Lake Geneva and surrounding lakes (for whatever your pleasure ... fishing, sailing, swimming, pontooning), and enjoy living in a tourist area," say Realtors Diana and Ron Dahlberg, "this is it! We have the best of both worlds ... old-world charm and contemporary lifestyles." The Dahlbergs explain, "Southeastern Wisconsin, Lake Geneva, is a fast-growing market, especially because of its location between the larger cities! It is an area of many resorts, affluence and opportunity! The housing market is ever growing ... condominiums and new construction continue to pave the way! Many people come to Lake Geneva from the Illinois and surrounding Milwaukee County areas." They advise, "Interest Rates have now risen to and over 6 percent, a range that is still encouraging continued home purchases. Buyers are being more particular and are looking at a lot of homes before making their purchase. The nicer homes are selling while the homes needing some sprucing up are stagnating in the market. There are a variety of special loan packages available to buyers today ... so be sure to check with your lender about the special ARMs especially on 15-year loans! Now is the time to buy! Don"t let this window of opportunity pass you by! We don"t know what the future holds, but we do know the rates will not hold forever at these remarkable lows! An overall glance at the real estate market lends itself to an encouraged economy." Legend Lake Says Realtor Jerry Wendland, "Legend Lake is just four and a half hours north of Chicago, and three hours north of Milwaukee, one hour from both Green Bay and Appleton and just seven miles north of Shawano." Wendland says, "Legend Lake provides an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy wholesome living among the rugged wilderness. Over 40 miles of shoreline created from nine smaller lakes produced some of the area"s most choice lakeside and off-shore homesites on a nearly 5,100 acre development. The Legend Lake system is larger than 98 percent of all Wisconsin Lakes. About the market, Wendland advises, "Inventory for waterfront lots and homes is greatly diminished from previous sell-offs. Currently, there are no waterfront lots available. There is increased interest in off-shore properties. The relationship between seller supply and buyer demand remains great. With interest rates at historic lows and available inventory lacking, the market is poised more towards a seller"s market. Right now buyers are not wasting time evaluating their options. How long will these current conditions will last? No crystal ball can tell." Rice Lake "Barron County has proven to be a fast paced community with industry being our strong employee," says Realtor Margo Katterhagen. "Barron County experiences "transplanted" buyers and sellers year round - which in turn makes our real estate market constantly changing. With low interest rates and with Barron County being a targeted area for "Wheda" funding - we are experiencing a record number of sales already this year!" What Are New Agents Up Against?
Starting a career in real estate is challenging at best. Many enter the field in middle age when the "kids are grown," or when they have retired or abandoned other careers. Some people get licensed hoping to "dabble" in real estate while they continue other interests. Others enter the profession fresh out of school, or they by-pass a university education in favor of community college real estate courses to get quickly into a career. Some of these folks may do very well if they have the determination, financial cushion and skills to make a go of it. Most, however, fail, with as many as 85 percent dropping out of the business the first year. Fifteen of remaining agents don"t renew their licenses. Where will you end up? As a wash-out? Or, will you be a high-steppin" multi-million dollar producer?
